WHY AKWAABA WEEK IS ORGANISED
Akwaaba Week is organized by the SRC to welcome and orient all first-year students into the SRC and the university. The goal of the SRC is to incite freshmen to be purpose-driven and active participators in the activities of the SRC and the university and to utilize the opportunities that will come their way. The essence of orientation for new members of a community can never be undermined. It can be said to be an eye-opener to the beneficiary or attendant considering the result it births. The activities of Akwaaba week is to enhance the relationships and bonds amongst junior and senior members of the university. It is also an avenue where networking and human skills which are important for life beyond university are formed. Moments of Akwaaba week are full of educational and entertaining content which leaves impressions on attendees mind that, university life is a balanced one and must be done equally to attain full excellence.
WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND IT
Students are to take it upon themselves to attend the various activities organised during Akwaaba week because the very aspects of university life are been taught and thoroughly displayed. Moments shared bring indelible joy and bonding amongst students which may never again be encountered.
