Parliamentary Council

The parliamentary council is made up of;

I. The Speaker
II. 1st and 2nd Deputy Speakers      III. Members of parliament.
IV. Majority leader
V. Minority leader
VI. Clerks

The Speaker

The Speaker of Parliament presides over debates, maintains order, and ensures parliamentary procedures are followed. They also provide leadership, representation, and administrative oversight, while remaining impartial and upholding parliamentary integrity.

Deputy Speakers

The Deputy Speakers assists the Speaker in presiding over Parliament and maintains order in their absence. They also perform ceremonial duties and assume the role of Speaker when necessary.

Members of Parliament

Members of Parliament (MPs) are responsible for making laws, overseeing the executive, and representing their constituents' interests. They also approve budgets, participate in debates, and contribute to the development of their constituencies..

Majority Leader

The Majority Leader leads the majority party in Parliament, coordinates its legislative agenda and schedules bills for debate and voting.

Minority Leader

The Minority Leader leads the opposition party in Parliament and coordinates its responses. They present alternative views and policies.

Clerks

The Clerks record and maintain parliamentary records, prepare and distribute documents, and advise on procedures. They assist the Speaker, maintain order, and ensure the smooth operation of Parliament.
